Classic Albums Live is a concert where performers faithfully recreate the music on a rock album. The shows are treated like recitals with the album being performed in its entirety followed by a ‘greatest hits’ set of the featured artist. The artist do not interact with or perform for the audience, which puts emphasis on just the music.
Sara, Christos, David and I went to Harry’s for dinner first, then went to the Lakeland Center to watch a Classic Albums Live of Michael Jackson’s Triller. It was enjoyable and although the singer couldn’t hit all of Michael Jackson’s notes (but who could except MJ?), he did an excellent job. There were several people dancing in the aisles and wearing MJ gloves. A young girl, probably around 10 years old, was dancing at her seat about the whole time, AND she was making dance moves. I would not be surprised if she had practiced at home while watching MJ’s performances. There was also a mom dancing in the aisle who probably had too much to drink, but was amusing to watch.
