Thousand Things

A thousand things rise and fall while the self watches. Some are burned onto the soul and stay with you always. Others are gone forever, almost the moment they come into existence.

What remains for the “watching self” is pondering on the transience or continuity of “her” rise and fall. Does existence, the ever watchful eye fixed on our every step from birth till demise, allow for us to be burned always unto her soul, or does she instantly let go of our shadow, like the sun sinking behind the sea, leaves no ground for the shade to stand?

We don’t know the answer to that, at least I don’t. i believe one of the reasons people have children is to still exist and continue on in another form.
